EPPA keeps evolving. Hence, it became necessary to update our brochure in which we present the association and its work across Europe.
Please take a look at the result of our efforts by clicking the link below:
Modern RAL certified PVC windows are rightfully called sustainable construction products: They are durable, produced from sustainably sourced raw materials, support energy-saving and can be recycled.
Recently EPPA associated member “RAL Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme” published an article on this topic in the German consumer magazine “XXL-Ratgeber: Renovieren + Energiesparen” and on the portal hurra-wir-bauen.de (both Family Home).
Since 2000, VinylPlus, the voluntary commitment to sustainable development of the European PVC industry, has been a pioneer in the Circular Economy. It has backed the European Commission’s pledging call to increase recycling of plastics by committing to recycle at least 900,000 tonnes of PVC per year into new products by 2025, a significant contribution to the overall 10 million tonnes objective set by the Commission for the plastic industry. EPPA has recently published the factsheet “UPVC Window Profiles containing Recyclate. Factsheet on the use of recyclates in UPVC window profile systems“.
Please find here the German version of the factsheet.
The new work program of EPPA (European PVC Window Profile and related Building Products Association) has been agreed on for the upcoming years. The members decided on a program during the annual General Assembly. Furthermore, a new Board has been elected during the meeting in London. The European trade association represents manufacturers of PVC window profile systems and related building products.
Please find below the link to the original German version of the bauelemente bau article on the website of the Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme.
The EPPA General Assembly re-elected Andreas Hartleif, CEO of VEKA AG, as its president during its annual meeting on 29th June 2018. Martin Hitchin, Chief CEO at Rehau AG & CO, was elected vice-president. Eric Chatelain was re-elected as a treasurer. All office holders were elected for a term of three years.
This recognition by two system operators has been made possible by the EcoPlatform to which EPPA is a member.
On the joint booth of EPPA, RAL Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme (GKFP) and VinylPlus®, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the broad scope of our activities.
From the 21st to the 24th of March, 2018 Nuremberg is again fully focused on the Fensterbau Frontale. During four days the business sector meets and presents their efficiency and innovations to its visitors.
Follwing the tradition of previous years the Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme e.V. will co-exhibit together with EPPA ivzw (European PVC Window Profile and related Building Products Association) at a shared booth. An emphasis will be put on PVC recycling and the circular economy. Furthermore EPPA will inform about relevant European regulations and projects.
The Gütegemeinschaft offers a platform to members, visitors and stakeholders for discussing topics like system technology, standardization and quality assurance. In the sprit of the Single European Market, we organise our events together with Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) and KIWA.
Three exciting events complete the fair programme:
